Home imprisonment

I was about to go to work, got my bag with the sound of keys inside and locked the room door behind me. Until I realised those weren't keys. They were coins!

I panicked a little, as the front gate was still locked and....WTF, I left my phone in the room too! I was trapped in my own house!

So I took a deep breath and tried to relax. Then I went to the living room in search if anyone left some kind of key. None. Went to the backdoor at the kitchen to see if it was locked...of course it was.

Then thought if I jabbed a knife at the keyhole would it open? I guessed not. I gave up for a moment, turned on the TV and thought I might just sit there and wait till someone comes home. Magic's Biggest Secret was on at the time, and when they revealed their first trick I had an idea!

There was a laptop on the dining table belonging to one of the tenants. My luck, it wasn't password protected. Accessed my google account, went through my synced contacts. Next move: using Google Voice, I called the locksmith, I knew those voice credit would be of use one day!

When the locksmith arrived, he had to cut off the padlock on the grill, before tackling my room door. Goodness, I'm free! Then I told him to replace the padlock he destroyed, told my landlord my key broke while unlocking the old one to avoid him thinking I'm an idiot, hid the new padlock key in the mailbox for the other tenants.... And took off for work!

I felt like that kid in home alone for a while.
