Quite a while
I haven't been blogging here as often anymore. There's two fold to that: I haven't been as emotionally available as my life the past year or so have moved at such a fast pace. And basically the inspiration hasn't been coming along as often as it used to.
But I do have stories to tell now.
The past few months have been quite...ummm...how do I put this...EVENTFUL. There's only two left in my household, so I get the whole large room to myself (can't exactly call it the master bedroom) but it didn't stay that long. Not long since then we have never been short of guests. I admit, I was resilient at first. I was really comfortable being in a house with only one other person besides me, who understood my pet peeves and all the shit I tend to do as I understood hers as well. I like to believe we compromise on those sort of things.
But then other people came, and it kinda shook my ground a little, though not for long. Sure, I do feel restraint some times when it comes to doing weird shit like loud self-karaoke sessions when nobody's home or rolling on the living room floor when my roommate's busy doing her own thing in her room (it's one of my inspiration sessions, my roommate doesn't even know about this...until she reads this, if she does). But this is probably what I need to stop doing things that could probably get me into a mental facility.
Honestly, I'm glad it happened. I haven't talked to people this much outside of work, and the socialising sessions have proved beneficial in a lot of ways. Seeing the benefit of this, I welcome my closest friends over often, and believe me, chats in your own vicinity is much better than at some restaurant.
It's become a guesthouse I might say. Right now were harboring two friends who are looking for jobs in the city and we've been glad to assist them in a lot of ways. I do my best to give them guidance based on my experiences, and being a realistic-oriented person, I admit I have been a little harsh sometimes. But I also believe people don't like to be meddled with, and everyone has a right to their opinions, actions, and personality. After all, I do have my own set of faults as well so I don't force people into anything. Some people don't get that about me.
When it comes to work, well, it's all around busy every day, but has been stinking in the growth side of things. It's all static, but that's probably because I get bored with things pretty fast albeit the time it takes to be so has lengthen substantially the past year. I quit the gym, don't swim as much anymore, and recently I took up squash but I definitely bet I'm going to get bored with that soon too. Also my smartphone application official release is way overdue (though it has garnered some pretty surprising response from a third party site). I guess one of my biggest problem of all time would be preseverance. My passion which is all Art & Design has never been affected though. I'm still crazy about it.
So lately, at work, I have focussed on improving my people skills. I'm terrible in that department even though my communication skills pretty okay. You would think those two come together, but no. My writing skills on the other hand? Well, you tell me.
I have to say, the past six months has been one silent adventure. Appreciate everything about it, and I think I have gotten here sooner if an anomaly could've left my life earlier. Another chapter filled with possibilities will happen I think sooner rather than later, but right now, I'm just going to soak up these current experiences. Good and Bad.
