Randoms #2
It’s been quite some time since I posted anything self-related. I am still caught up in a series of ongoing challenges which are all still based on this; However that link won’t give you much or any details at all. Very few people around my circle knows about it and I tend to keep it that way until further notice. So, on to the randoms:
- I recently turned twenty about a month ago (if you call that recent) and I don’t know; I don’t think I’ve achieve half of the things I wanted to by the time I’m twenty. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those ‘forever 18, 19 or 50!’ freaks because I’d like to stay as realistic as possible (aside from the routine daydreaming).
- My new semester just started about a week ago and the college administration is still bad as it was. Imagine, just to get a piece of paper, I had to go to the office for 5 day straight just because they told me ‘It’s not ready yet, come back tomorrow’. Don’t feel pity for me because I gave them an earful but I know those complaints are only going to end up nowhere.
- New semester, same old modules. Catch my drift? School-wise, I made some very stupid decisions last semester; Somehow, a part of me don’t feel regret because I traded the side effects with some great experiences. Besides, there’s no use regretting, what’s happened, happened. But was it really worthwhile? Well, I am not too sure either because the effects are still unfolding. I know I sound like a bum, maybe I am but right now, only time would tell.
- Today will be my first day on a new job. I’ll probably write more about it later. It actually came as a surprise to me. I thought I performed horribly during the interview, and ironically, as a designer, I didn’t bring any printed materials with me because of the last minute preparation – and I did get the “we’ll call you up soon” answer which basically means ‘No’. But a week later I got an interesting call when I was napping one afternoon. The surprise worked on me better than coffee! I was wide awake and couldn’t sleep for two days just thinking about it. HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN? I was brutally honest during the interview. E.g. ‘Are you a leader?’ – ‘No, I’m actually terrible at it. I have the worst track record of any leaders.’ Huh, leadership, something I’d like to blog about in a future post. Anyways, wish me luck.
- I stumbled upon my junior, Nadine, yesterday afternoon and though I don’t think there’s any significance stating this – it’s the first time I’ve met a 4.0 student in three years! or at least to my knowledge. Most of these geniuses are very humble they’d make a smaller ballpark figure just to seem less impressive…I think; And people like me who are less interesting to begin with always brag LOL. Ok, that was a lie. I don’t brag much…maaaaybe a little.
I actually have more randoms but I have 40 minutes to get dressed or I’ll get fired on my first on day the job.
