Can I Get A Slap?

Only if you deserve it.

My friends always ask me for opinions on their work. Probably because because I deliver them smoothly at the same time giving honest inputs and not the ‘Wow, its so nice’ bullshit.

So, the other day, Azhar was criticising me for my lack of appreciation towards other people’s work because I’m rarely impressed with anything nowadays. I guess it’s because I’ve been reading too many art magazines and my visual knowledge has gone up a notch. Then again, he probably said that because he wanted me to greatly praise his work which I said was only so-so. I’m actually very fair when giving opinions. Trust me, when it comes to art and design, I’m a very hard person to impress. Proof – none of my own work impresses me – even when people do the otherwise.

Back to the main story - metaphorically speaking, I said to him that if I greatly like a person’s work, I’d slap them on the face to show signs of positive jealousy and respect. I noted to him some students that I truly want to ‘slap’ if I get the chance to for they are really talented – which is very hard to find in this university.

Few minutes later, when the topic was off, Puspo showed me a layout of her e-zine. At first sight, I kinda like it, so I out pointed to Azhar that that was a near-slap work. Then Puspo was so happy of my reaction (because I used to criticise her work a lot) that she asked to be slapped. I said near-slap honey. Maybe a push on the face no?

Later, we laughed like retards on the idea that next time, besides telling them I like their work, I should slap them instead LOL.
